LEAGUE
OF
DAVID
CONSERVATORY
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the League of David Conservatory is to cultivate a generation of young musicians who will champion the imaginative and the transcendent in the art of music.

League of David Conservatory is a Classical music conservatory.

Our Namesake
League of David (in German, Davidsbündler) was an imaginary society created by the great composer, Robert Schumann.
Schumann drew the inspiration of the name from the renowned king of Israel, King David, who as a young shepherd boy, stood against the giant Goliath and defeated him in an epic fight with a sling and a stone. For Schumann, he was the perfect embodiment of righteousness, humility, and leadership.

Davidsbündler passionately promoted the imaginative and the transcendent nature of music within the pages of The New Journal of Music (Neue Zeitschrift für Musik) created in 1835 by Schumann himself.

TESTIMONIALS
Claire W.
"My children have not only gained access to an incredible Suzuki method-trained teacher by taking lessons with Dr. Neglia, but she has become like family. She has what so many others don't seem to have--- she really cares about her students at such a deep level, and it shows so brightly."
Patty S.
"I cannot recommend Dina's instruction enough. My daughter went from a shy wallflower with the violin to finding new-found confidence in her playing and performances in just a few months. The change in her playing is phenomenal, and that is because Dina is an absolute master at teaching (and performing!)"
Deborah T.
"I really don't have adequate words to express my gratitude to Dr. Neglia. My teenaged son, whom I believed was naturally talented, nearly quit the violin because of mental setbacks. Dr. Neglia singlehandedly transformed his mindset to the instrument. As a parent who watched her son struggle and almost give up, I'm eternally grateful."
Maria A.
"As a student of Dr. Neglia's, I can tell you this. You will not find anyone as kind, understanding, humble, knowledgeable, and someone who helps you improve on a large scale in such a short time. I took lessons for YEARS and never improved this much. I thought I'd never get better, but I know now that I can continue to grow and improve as a musician with all the things I've learned along with Dr. Neglia's guidance."
Leslie G.
"It was hard for me to believe that such an amazing performer would be an equally amazing teacher, but Dina truly is. She is SO great with my little kids. They look forward to lessons every week!"
